A productive discussion with an equipment supplier begins with a clear picture of your project. Before the Canton Fair, preparing a short brief can help connect your production goals with the site conditions and supply responsibilities that need to be considered.
For a new detergent powder plant, an expansion or an equipment upgrade, the following five questions provide a practical starting point. You do not need complete drawings or final specifications to begin a conversation with Meibao.
1. What Product and Market Are You Planning For?
Describe the detergent powder you intend to manufacture and the customers or market you plan to serve. Existing product requirements, available formulation information or a reference sample can help communicate your expectations.
If these details are still being developed, explain the product direction you have chosen so far. This gives the supplier a starting point for discussing production requirements without asking you to finalize every technical parameter immediately.
2. What Capacity Does the Project Need?
State your planned output and its unit: tonnes per hour or tonnes per year. For an annual target, include the expected operating days and hours per day, if known.
Also distinguish your initial production target from any future expansion plans. These details help frame the capacity discussion and identify assumptions that require review. Design capacity should not be treated as guaranteed annual output, because actual production also depends on operating time, maintenance and production scheduling.
3. What Site and Existing Equipment Must Be Considered?
Identify whether the project involves a new factory, an extension or modifications within an operating plant. Share the project location, available building dimensions and usable height. A simple layout or site photographs can be useful.
For an existing facility, describe which equipment you intend to retain and where new sections may need to connect. Available space, access for equipment installation and material routes help the supplier identify layout constraints and interfaces requiring further assessment.
4. Which Local Supply Conditions Are Confirmed?
Outline the raw materials you expect to use and whether they will be purchased locally or imported. Share available supplier specifications, together with information about fuel, electricity and water at the site.
Clearly mark conditions that are confirmed and those still under investigation. This helps the supplier assess the proposed detergent powder production line against local resources and identify additional information needed before developing a configuration.
5. Where Should the Supplier’s Responsibilities Begin and End?
Explain whether you need a complete line or selected production sections. Identify any customer-supplied equipment and whether packaging should be included.
Discuss your expectations for installation guidance, commissioning and operator training. Clarifying these responsibilities early helps both parties understand equipment connections, site preparation needs and the basis for subsequent proposals. The exact equipment and service scope should be confirmed for each project.
