You may already have a building in mind for a detergent powder plant. Or you may be looking at the space beside an operating line and wondering whether it can accommodate more equipment.
In either case, a target output is only part of the starting information. The building, available utilities and equipment already on site will shape how the project can be developed.
At Cosmopack Asia 2026, Meibao welcomes customers planning new detergent powder plants, expansions and upgrades. Bring your ideas to Booth 9-F26 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong, from November 10–12. A factory photograph or a rough drawing can give us plenty to discuss.
A Building Is More Than Its Floor Area
Two buildings with similar floor areas may offer quite different options for a production line. Height, column positions, doors and access routes all affect equipment placement. Space is also needed for raw materials, finished bags, maintenance and movement around the machines.
The selected process matters here. A project that includes spray drying has different building requirements from one based on purchased base powder and blending. It is worth discussing the intended product and process before settling on an equipment arrangement.
If the building has already been selected, share the dimensions you know. Photographs can provide useful context, although they cannot replace the measurements and engineering checks needed later.
Adding Equipment to a Working Factory
An expansion needs to account for what is already running. Which machines will remain? Where will the new section connect? Will installation require access through an active production or storage area?
These questions help establish whether the work can be divided into stages and what may need to be prepared before equipment arrives. If a shutdown is being considered, its timing should be discussed alongside the installation work.
Existing conveyors, packaging equipment and controls also need attention. Their suitability for the proposed changes should be reviewed rather than assumed from the original equipment ratings.
Check Utilities and Site Work Early
For a line that includes drying, locally available fuel is part of the process discussion. Electricity, water and compressed air may also be needed, depending on the equipment selected.
It helps to distinguish what is already available from what still needs to be installed or verified. The same applies to foundations, supporting steelwork, site piping and electrical connections. Clarifying who will prepare each item gives both sides a more useful basis for planning.
If another expansion is likely, mention it now. Space for a future section, access for installation and utility connections can then be considered while the layout is still being discussed.
Bring the Information You Have
Start with your intended product, target capacity and project country. A simple layout, factory photographs and a list of equipment you hope to retain are helpful. Packaging sizes and available energy sources add further context.
You do not need a finished plant design or a complete formulation for an initial meeting.
Zhejiang Meibao Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. can support process design, equipment configuration and manufacturing, installation, commissioning and training. The equipment, services and site responsibilities will be confirmed for each project.
